Eliza Collier, Clip Joint Educator and Creative Team Lead, styled the hair for Paolo Sebastian’s latest campaign, sharing a behind-the-scenes preview and her style notes.
Couture House Paolo Sebastian is defined by storytelling. Founded by designer Paul Vasileff, the brand has become synonymous with intricate craftsmanship, romantic detail, and garments that transcend fashion to become modern fairytales. Each collection carries a narrative, woven delicately through embroidery, silhouette, and texture—designed to move not only with the body, but with the imagination.
The Clip Joint Creative Team has long partnered with the house, curating hair direction that mirrors its artistry. Pictured, Eliza styles a runway look for a PS runway – circa 2017. Their latest collaboration: the 2025–2026 Autumn/Winter Couture Collection.
THE BRIEF
The latest collection, Scattered to the Winds, is a visual love letter to freedom, escape, and romantic abandon. It traces the journey of a woman who leaves everything behind for love, surrendering herself to the wind until she becomes part of it. Every layer of fabric and detail of embroidery carried an air of movement, fragility, and ethereal beauty. The campaign demanded that same sense of atmosphere in its hair direction—undone, editorial, yet effortless. A lived-in polish that felt romantic without the stiffness of being over-styled.
The direction embraced natural curl, subtle contouring, and softness around the face—creating the illusion of something that appeared “slept in” rather than meticulously styled. The goal was not to make a statement but to evoke atmosphere: fluidity, ease, and texture that mirrored the garments while allowing the model’s individuality to shine.

Prep and Nourish
Using evo Day of Grace and Happy Campers, Eliza infused hydration and strength into each model’s hair, creating a foundation that would endure the day on set.
Shine and Protection
Sebastian Trilliant Spray provided essential heat protection, safeguarding the hair during repeated styling while maintaining its integrity.
Curl and Contour
Large sections of hair were waved with a micro ghd wand, cooled, and brushed out—relaxing the curl into a looser, more lived-in shape.
Finishing Touches
Happy Campers was reapplied throughout the day to maintain condition, while Shebang-a-Bang smoothed and controlled the curl.
