The Skills Cluster for the Introduction to Makeup is available for secondary school students who have completed year 9 (or above) or are in year 10 (or above). The cluster is designed to help students explore the field of makeup artistry and decide if they would like to continue with studies in the field.Students undertake 2 units from the Certificate II in Retail Cosmetics (SHB20121) qualification during the short course which focuses on makeup design, application techniques and building work organisational skills.
Upon successful completion, VET graduates will receive a Statement of Attainment for completed units, up to 5 SACE Credits for Stage 1 and may be eligible for RPL (recognised prior learning) credits if they continue studying at Certificate II or Certificate III level.
